The European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS) Annual Congress is the main meeting point of the European Neurosurgical Community, and the connecting link between European Neurosurgery and all continental neurosurgical societies. The Congress theme this year is “Neurosurgery and Technology at the service of Humanity”. This event will take place at the Palau de Congressos de Barcelona in Barcelona from September 24 – 28, 2023. The HORAO team will be presenting two Oral ePosters and displaying two ePosters.
SPIE Photonics West | San Francisco (USA)
January 28 – February 02, 2023
The Society for Photographic Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) Photonics West Congress is the world’s premiere laser, biomedical optics and biophotonic technologies, quantum and optoelectronics event. This conference took place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from January 28 – February 02, 2023. The HORAO team has been participating with 5 Oral talks.
Polarized Light and Optical Angular Momentum for Biomedical Diagnostics Symposium
- Evolution of polarimetric parameters of cadaver brain tissue with time and formaldehyde fixation in wide-field Mueller matrix images (Speaker: Romain Gros)
- Multi-domain cotraining for tissue segmentation in fixed and fresh brain tissue using Mueller polarimetry (Speaker: Richard McKinley)
- Evaluation of light penetration depth for Imaging Mueller polarimeter operating in a visible wavelength range in reflection geometry: ex-vivo studies of healthy brain white matter (Speaker: Omar Rodríguez-Núñez)
- Denoising diffusion networks applied to Mueller polarimetric images of brain tissue (Speaker: Stefano Moriconi)
Clinical and Translational Neurophotonics Symposium
- Brain white matter fiber tracts identification using wide-field imaging Mueller polarimetry: Ex vivo studies in a surgery-like environment (Speaker: Leonard Felger)
Our highlight was that Romain Gros’ work was awarded as “Best Student Paper”. Congratulations!
