SPIE Photonics Europe | Strasbourg (FR)

April 7 – 11, 2024

The Society for Photographic Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) Photonics Europe Congress is the only cross-disciplinary event highlighting compelling optics and photonics technologies—from digital optics to quantum technologies to optical imaging, sensing, and metrology. Additional topics include THz photonics, 3D printed optics, photonic glasses, photosensitive materials, and biophotonics. This event took place at the Palais de la Musique et des Congrès in Strasbourg from April 7 – 11, 2024. The HORAO team has been giving two Oral talks: Estimation of light penetration depth in human brain tissue using wide-field imaging Mueller polarimetry – ex vivo study in formalin-fixed human cerebral white and gray matter (Omar Rodríguez Núñez) and (Romain Gros).

SPIE Photonics West | San Francisco (USA)

January 28 – February 1, 2024

The Society for Photographic Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) Photonics West Congress is the world’s premiere laser, biomedical optics and biophotonic technologies, quantum and optoelectronics event. This conference took place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from January 28 – February 01, 2024. The HORAO team has been participating with one Oral talk.

EANS2023 Congress | Barcelona (ES)

September 24 – 28, 2023

The European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS) Annual Congress is the main meeting point of the European Neurosurgical Community, and the connecting link between European Neurosurgery and all continental neurosurgical societies. The Congress theme this year was “Neurosurgery and Technology at the service of Humanity”. This event took place at the Palau de Congressos de Barcelona in Barcelona from September 24 – 28, 2023. The HORAO team has been presenting two Oral ePosters and displaying two ePosters.

BIOAM-2023 | Palaiseau (FR)

September 13 – 15, 2023

The Biophotonics and Optical Angular Momentum (BIOAM) Workshop is providing a forum for researchers from both academia and industry working in various domains related to optical angular momentum (spin and orbital), including fundamental aspects, polarimetric instrumentation and applications. This event took place at the premise of Ecole polytechnique in Palaiseau from September 13 – 15, 2023 and was partly organised by the HORAO team. The HORAO team has therefore been presenting several posters and giving Oral talks.

SPIE Optics + Photonics | San Diego (USA)

August 2 – 24, 2023

The Society for Photographic Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) Optics + Photonics Congress is the leading multidisciplinary optical sciences and technology meeting where the optics and photonics community share their latest advances in optical engineering, nanotechnology, quantum science, organic photonics and astronomical instrumentation.. This event took place at the San Diego Convention Center from August 20 – 24, 2023. The HORAO team was presenting at the Polarization Science and Remote Sensing XI Conference and gave an Oral talk on “Complete Mueller polarimetry: Do we need it for biological tissues diagnosis? (Invited Paper)”.

ECBO | Munich (DE)

June 25 – 29, 2023

The European Conferences on Biomedical Optics (ECBO) is the premier European event bringing together scientists, engineers, and clinicians who work with optics and photonics to solve problems in biomedicine. This event took place at the International Congress Center (ICM) in Munich from June 25 – 29, 2023. The HORAO team was present at the Emerging Technologies for Cell and Tissue Characterization Conference and gave an Oral talk on “Partial Mueller polarimetry for the complete optical diagnosis of biological tissue”.

SPIE Photonics West | San Francisco (USA)

January 28 – February 2, 2023
